CUSTOMER CARE

At Australorp Farm, our goal is to provide fresh, high-quality products while maintaining transparency, consistency, and respect for the customer experience. Whether you are purchasing fresh produce, value-added goods, or nursery plants, we want you to feel confident in the quality and care behind everything we offer.

Fresh Produce

All herbs and vegetables are grown and harvested by Australorp Farm and sold in accordance with California Certified Producer guidelines. Products are harvested close to market time to ensure freshness and quality.

Because our produce is fresh and minimally handled:

  • Shelf life may vary depending on storage conditions

  • We recommend refrigerating leafy greens promptly

  • Herbs should be kept dry and loosely stored for best longevity

If you have any concerns about quality at the time of purchase, please let us know immediately so we can address it.

Value-Added Products

Our value-added products, such as herb blends, teas, and specialty items, are prepared in accordance with California Cottage Food Operation guidelines (as applicable).

 

All packaged items:

  • Are clearly labeled with ingredients

  • Are produced in small batches

  • Should be stored according to label instructions

 

Due to the nature of these products, all sales are final. However, if there is an issue with quality or packaging, we will work with you to make it right.

Nursery Plants

Nursery plants are grown and handled with care, but once they leave the farm, their success depends on environmental conditions and proper care.

 

We recommend:

  • Transplanting within an appropriate timeframe

  • Providing adequate water and sunlight

  • Monitoring for stress during transition

We are happy to offer general guidance, but we cannot guarantee plant performance after purchase due to variables outside of our control.

Returns & Exchanges

Because we sell perishable and agricultural products:

  • Fresh produce and plants are not eligible for return

  • Packaged goods are not eligible for return once opened

If you receive a product that is damaged or not up to standard at the time of purchase, please notify us as soon as possible. We will evaluate the situation and determine an appropriate resolution.

Product Availability

All products are seasonal and subject to availability. Quantities may vary week to week based on growing conditions, harvest timing, and demand. We prioritize freshness and quality over volume and appreciate your understanding when items sell out.

Cash transactions are handled directly at the time of purchase.

On-Site Safety (Farmers Markets & Events)

Customers are encouraged to handle products respectfully and follow any posted guidance at the stand.

 

Food & Product Handling

All products are handled in accordance with applicable California agricultural and Cottage Food guidelines. While we take care to provide clean and properly handled items, customers are encouraged to:

  • Wash produce before consumption

  • Store products according to recommended guidelines

  • Review ingredient labels on packaged goods

 

Liability Notice

Australorp Farm is not responsible for adverse reactions to products, improper storage, or misuse after purchase. Customers with known allergies or sensitivities should review product information carefully before use.

Wholesale Inquiries

Australorp Farm offers limited wholesale availability for fresh produce and select products based on seasonal production and current capacity. We are focused on building consistent, reliable relationships with local partners who value quality, transparency, and locally grown food.

Products Available for Wholesale

Wholesale offerings may include:

  • Fresh culinary herbs (rosemary, oregano, thyme)

  • Medicinal herbs (Inquire for list)

  • Seasonal greens 

  • Additional crops as production expands

 

All products are grown and harvested by Australorp Farm and supplied in accordance with California Certified Producer guidelines.

Ordering & Availability

 

Availability is determined weekly based on harvest conditions. Interested buyers may request a current availability list, which includes:

  • Product types

  • Estimated quantities

  • Packaging format (bundle or clamshell)

 

Orders are fulfilled based on confirmed availability and production capacity.

Minimums & Scheduling

Wholesale quantities should be discussed in advance to ensure consistent supply. While we are a small-scale operation, we prioritize reliability and clear communication when establishing recurring orders.

Delivery or pickup schedules will be coordinated based on location and volume.

Payment Methods

Australorp Farm offers a range of payment options to make purchasing convenient while maintaining a simple and efficient checkout process.

Accepted Payment Methods

We currently accept:

  • Debit and credit cards

  • Contactless payments (tap-to-pay / mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay)

 

Digital payments are processed securely through trusted third-party providers.

 

EBT / SNAP Benefits   (Ask for current acceptability)

 

Australorp Farm supports access to fresh food through EBT/SNAP benefits when available at participating market locations. At certified farmers markets, customers may use EBT/SNAP benefits through the market’s central token or voucher system. These benefits can be used to purchase eligible food items such as fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

 

Please note:

  • EBT/SNAP cannot be used for non-eligible items such as value-added or packaged goods

  • Availability depends on market participation and program setup.

 

Customers are encouraged to visit the market information booth for assistance with EBT/SNAP transactions.

 

Cryptocurrency (Online Use Only)

Australorp Farm accepts cryptocurrency for select online purchases from the farm store and nursery items available for shipment.

At this time:

  • Cryptocurrency payments are accepted online only and are not available for in-person market purchases

  • Eligible items may include packaged dry goods, nursery plants and other items that can be shipped

  • Accepted cryptocurrencies and payment instructions will be provided at checkout

  • Transactions are processed based on real-time value at the time of purchase

  • Customers are responsible for any transaction fees associated with cryptocurrency payments

 

Due to the nature of digital currency, all cryptocurrency transactions are final once processed.
